Chronicle 2: Producer confirms sequel to Josh Trank film in development
August 5, 2021 by: Steve Seigh

While Josh Trank’s career since CHRONICLE has seen better days, his first big-screen production remains a fan favorite as well as a viable franchise starter. Rumors of a sequel have bandied about for years, but now it looks like a follow-up to the 2012 superhero found-footage flick may be closer to reality.

Recently while talking about the success of Disney’s Jungle Cruise, producer John Davis revealed that plans are in motion for a Chronicle sequel. The project is apparently set up at 20th Century Studios and will revolve around a cast of female characters. The plot picks up 10 years after the events of the original film and will touch on the subject of fake news, real news, and cover-ups. The characters will be fresh out of college when they discover their powers, and not all of them are as altruistic as someone like Spider-Man or Ms. Marvel.

Here’s what Davis had to say to Forbes when asked about the secret of his success with the one-hit-wonder superhero film:

Chronicle was literally the best return on investment, any of my movies ever made. Chronicle we did for $12 million, and it grossed $126.64 million worldwide. Then it had a huge afterlife in syndication. It’s one of the most financially successful movies in my stable. We’re working on Chronicle 2 right now, and I think it’s going to be great. We’re working on it at Fox (20th Century Studios). It’s going to give us a chance to tell the story in a different way. We’re going to tell it from the female point of view. It will have been ten years since the event happened in Seattle, and a lot of it’s going to deal with fake news and real news and cover-ups. More interestingly, it’s the next generation getting these powers that are corruptive. These are young women just finishing college, they are empowered, and this is their journey. I mean, what a new and interesting story you can tell there.

Well, how do you like that? Did you ever think that we’d be going back to the well that is Josh Trank’s Chronicle? Personally, I thought that ship had sailed a long time ago, but I welcome the opportunity to be proven wrong.

Directed by Josh Trank and written by Max Landis, Chronicle starred Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell, and Michael B. Jordan as three high school friends who gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery underground. Soon they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.

As you can see from Davis’s recounting of Chronicle’s success, it was a major hit at the box office and beyond. During an age when superhero movies reign supreme at the box office, it’s no wonder why a sequel is being developed. Are you down to jump back into Chronicle? Do you think Trank will return to direct the sequel? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

The Thomas Crown Affair: Michael B. Jordan reimagining finds writer

The Thomas Crown Affair: Michael B. Jordan reimagining finds writer
July 15, 2021 by: Gaius Bolling

Michael B. Jordan is set to star in a reimagining of THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR and now the project has found a writer. Wes Tooke has been enlisted by MGM to pen the script.

This will mark the third version of The Thomas Crown Affair to come to fruition. The original film was released in 1968 and starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. A remake was released in 1999 starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo which went on to gross $124.3 million worldwide against a budget of $48 million. Both films follow Thomas Crown, a billionaire who steals a painting from an art gallery and is pursued by an insurance investigator, with the two ultimately falling for each other. Apparently, the property is a high priority for MGM, especially since Michael B. Jordan is attached.

As for Tooke, he has quickly become one of the more in-demand writers in the industry. He previously served as a writer/executive producer on USA Network’s drama Colony and followed that up with Roland Emmerich’s WWII film Midway. He recently co-executive produced Amazon’s comedy Jean-Claude Van Johnson, and he currently has multiple film and television projects in development, including an untitled monster project for Universal Pictures with Channing Tatum starring and producing, alongside Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

What are YOUR thoughts on the reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair?

Blue Beetle movie reportedly scuttling over to HBO Max

Blue Beetle movie reportedly scuttling over to HBO Max
June 9, 2021 by: Steve Seigh

I hope you're hanging onto your HBO Max subscriptions, superhero fans, because Warner Bros. and DC Films' Blue Beetle will reportedly release on the celebrated streaming service. According to a new report from the L.A. Times, HBO Max's future is in flux following the merger between Warner Bros. and Discovery. Like DC Films' Batgirl – which is also set to debut on HBO Max – Blue Beetle is being approached as a middle-budget affair. This makes it a perfect fit for HBO Max as the studio plans to pack the streamer with more attractive and exclusive content. As of the moment, Blue Beetle does not have a release date.

Blue Beetle, which will be DC's first film to center on a Latino superhero, is written by Miss Bala and the upcoming Scarface reboot scribe, Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer. Angel Manuel Soto (Charm City Kings) is set to direct.

According to DC's ever-changing continuity, Jaime Reyes is the third character to assume the mantle of the Blue Beetle after Dan Garret and Ted Kord. Created by Keith Giffen, John Rogers, and Cully Hamner, Jaime Reyes happened upon the Blue Beetle scarab while walking home from school with two of his best friends, Paco and Brenda. After bringing the strange object home for further inspection, the mysterious item sprang to life and attached itself to the base of Reyes' spine. As a result, Reyes gained control of a temperamental suit of extraterrestrial armor that has the ability to grant its wearer enhanced speed and strength. As a bonus to the unique suit, the Blue Beetle armor can create weapons, shields, and wings out of its otherworldly materials.

Also on the horizon for HBO Max is a film revolving around the fan-favorite DC superhero Static Shock. Warner Bros. is reportedly developing the film with producer Michael B. Jordan. "I'm proud to be a part of building a new universe centered around black superheroes; our community deserves that," said Jordan in a statement. "Outlier Society is committed to bringing to life diverse comic book content across all platforms and we are excited to partner with Reggie and Warner Bros on this initial step."

First appearing in Static #1 via the now-defunct Milestone Comics, Virgil Hawkins was an ordinary teenager who gained the ability to harness electromagnetism after contact with a dangerous chemical. Static also took the lead in a very popular animated series that aired from 2000 to 2004 and went on to appear in episodes of Justice League Unlimited and Young Justice.

Blue Beetle would certainly be a major boon to HBO Max's lineup, though I must admit that I was looking forward to seeing this one on the big screen. Who knows? Maybe the film will perform like gangbusters and Reyes will get bumped to a bigger venue in the future. Either way, I wish this project nothing but the best. After all, DC is made up of much more than bats, jokers, and aliens with x-ray vision.

Creed 3: Lovecraft Country’s Jonathan Majors in talks for major role
June 2, 2021 by: Steve Seigh

Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors is set to step into the squared circle for Michael B. Jordan’s CREED III. According to Deadline, Majors will play Adonis Creed’s adversary in the film. Negotiations are currently underway. Jordan is set to direct Creed III for MGM for his feature directorial debut.

Majors has been polishing his Hollywood star since his breakout role in 2019’s The Last Black Man in San Francisco. After appearing in such films as Captive State, Gully, and Jungleland, Majors landed a role beside Delroy Lindo and the late Chadwick Boseman in Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods. Meanwhile, in TV Land, Majors landed a starring role in the Eldridge horror series Lovecraft Country. The supernatural series was critically acclaimed and helped cement Majors as a leading man. Even Marvel Studios has taken notice of his talents and has cast him as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Kang is a major villain in Marvel Comics, with the potential for Majors to reprise the role over multiple films.

Once the deal for Majors to join Creed III is done, he’ll be joining Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad for the sequel. Disappointingly, Sylvester Stallone will not be returning as Rocky Balboa for the next chapter of Adonis Creed’s career.

Michael B. Jordan recalls his disastrous Star Wars audition
May 6, 2021 by: Kevin Fraser

When Disney got the Star Wars machine running once again with STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, just about every actor in Hollywood wanted a piece of the pie, and that includes Michael B. Jordan. The young actor was riding high off the success of Chronicle and Fruitvale Station, but while speaking on Just for Variety podcast with Marc Malkin, he said that his audition for The Force Awakens was his worst ever.

“It was probably the Star Wars audition that I had with J.J. [Abrams], I think,” Jordan said. “It just wasn’t my best. It was probably my worst to date. I just couldn’t wrap my brain around some of the sides, because when you’re reading for these high-level projects, there’s never really any specificity in the sides. Everything’s like super vague and everything’s a secret. Reading it through, I just couldn’t connect it. Definitely bombed that one, for sure…I’m pretty sure I ran out of there.” Although Michael B. Jordan may have bombed his Star Wars audition, it certainly didn’t hurt his future as he went on to star in Creed and Black Panther.

Speaking of Creed, Michael B. Jordan is getting ready to start production on Creed III, which will also serve as his feature directorial debut. In a statement, Jordan said, “Directing has always been an aspiration, but the timing had to be right. ‘Creed III’ is that moment — a time in my life where I’ve grown more sure of who I am, holding agency in my own story, maturing personally, growing professionally, and learning from the Greats like Ryan Coogler, most recently Denzel Washington, and other top tier directors I respect. All of which sets the table for this moment. This franchise and in particular the themes of ‘Creed III’ are deeply personal to me. I look forward to sharing the next chapter of Adonis Creed’s story with the awesome responsibility of being its director and namesake.” Creed III is slated to hit theaters on November 23, 2022.

Superman: DC commits to hiring a Black lead and director for new film

Superman: DC commits to hiring a Black lead and director for new film
May 5, 2021 by: Steve Seigh

Perhaps one of the most encouraging things about the comic book movie landscape is that the genre allows filmmakers to change things up at a moment’s notice. Since the announcement that J.J. Abrams and Ta-Nehisi Coates would be developing a new iteration of Superman that would be portrayed by a Black actor, the Interwebs have been abuzz with chatter, both positive and negative. While Michael B. Jordan has respectfully distanced himself from rumors that he would be in contention for the coveted role as the new Son of Krypton, rumor mills and theories have abounded as to who could take on the mantle of one of DC Comics’ most iconic superheroes.

The latest addition to the developing project is the news that DC and Warner Bros have committed to not only casting a Black man as Superman but are also dedicated to having a person of color direct the movie as well. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the studio considers it “tone deaf” if Abrams were to direct the film, which changes the short list of filmmakers who could direct this major endeavor.

Based on recent Oscar contenders, names bandied about include Barry Jenkins, Ryan Coogler, Creed II helmer Steven Caple Jr, One Night in Miami director Regina King, and Judas and the Black Messiah’s Shaka King. Further complicating the selection process is the competing Blade project at Marvel Studios which is also searching for a Black filmmaker to direct their Mahershala Ali reboot.

It seems that filmmakers have already met with both studios about the projects although there certainly could be other indie filmmakers without marquee credits that could be in the running. The same goes for the lead actor who could be relatively unknown to the likes of Brandon Routh or Henry Cavill, who won their franchise roles after an exhaustive search for the ideal Superman.

RELATED: Superman: Michael B. Jordan responds to rumors he’ll play the Man of Steel

For those of you concerned about this film replacing Henry Cavill, it appears that DC is approaching this new film in the same way as Robert Pattinson in The Batman and Joaquin Phoenix in Joker as alternate universe takes on established characters rather than mainstream canon. That means we could have two active Supermen, both hailing from Krypton with similar origin stories.

Diversity is the key in this day and age of studio tentpoles as movies no longer rely solely on the North American box office but the global economy which is not purely Caucasian. DC and Warner Bros currently have projects in development that feature a Latino take on Blue Beetle and Supergirl, while HBO Max is casting for a gay Green Lantern (Alan Scott) for their upcoming series.

Hardball: Michael B. Jordan reminisces on his screen debut with Keanu Reeves

Hardball: Michael B. Jordan reminisces on his screen debut with Keanu Reeves
May 3, 2021 by: Steve Seigh

Before he was training under Rocky Balboa as Adonis Creed or ruling Wakanda with an iron grip as Killmonger in Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan got his big break playing Jamal opposite Keanu Reeves’ Conor O’Neill in Brian Robbins’ HARDBALL. Much like The Bad News Bears or The Mighty Ducks, Hardball focuses on a ragtag group of young Chicago ballplayers who discover their hidden talent for the game under the guidance of a new and unconventional coach. Now, everyone’s heard lovely stories about what an amazing human Keanu Reeves is, but in this day and age, who couldn’t stand to hear another?

Taking place 20 years ago, Jordan was only 13 when he auditioned for Hardball. Not long after landing the part, he would soon bear witness to Reeves’ good nature first hand. As it happens, Hardball went into production a year after The Matrix’s 1999 release, which is right around the time when Reeves’ star truly began to rise.

“The Matrix was such a big thing,” Robbins recently told The Hollywood Reporter. “The kids would goof around with Keanu, re-enacting scenes, like dodging bullets in slow motion. They were in awe of Keanu. All these kids were new and raw and had never made a film before.”

Jordan then lent his perspective to the conversation by adding: “While we were in production, Keanu took the whole cast out to dinner and we had a chance to meet [his Matrix co-star] Laurence Fishburne. To this day, I still remember thinking to myself in astonishment, ‘I guess this is what movie stars do — take their casts out to dinner with other big actors.’ So much respect for Keanu and Laurence. It really was such a cool moment with two of my heroes.”

RELATED: Heels: Trailer and premiere date for Starz wrestling drama enters the ring

Of course, this is just one of many occasions where Reeves was celebrated for being a “breathtaking” individual. Not only has he donated large sums of money to children’s hospitals, but he’s also been known to take pay cuts if it means that talented actors can join the production. He’s gifted crew members with motorcycles, has taken stranded flight passengers on a fun road trip, and is famously known for being kind and respectful to his female co-stars.

There are days when I’m not sure if the world deserves Keanu Reeves, though I certainly think we’re better for having him as a counterbalance to our many misdeeds. Thank you for being a lighthouse in the fog, Mr. Reeves. You are truly one of the good ones.

Black Panther 2: Michael B. Jordan says Killmonger unlikely to return

Black Panther 2: Michael B. Jordan says Killmonger unlikely to return
May 1, 2021 by: Gaius Bolling

Michael B. Jordan has been making the promotional rounds for his new film, Without Remorse, and while many of the interviews have stayed on topic talking about his current film, many of them want to know about his other potential projects. The Superman rumor has been a hot topic of conversation but it’s a character he played in a Marvel film that also keeps popping up. Michael B. Jordan played the villain Killmonger in BLACK PANTHER and many people want to know if he will be making a return in the upcoming sequel.

In an interview with SXM, Jordan is asked about a possible return in Black Panther 2 on a scale of 1-10 in regards to how likely it would be for it to happen. Jordan, likely disappointing many fans, gave that chance a solid 2, meaning that it’s likely not happening at all:

“I didn’t want to go with zero, you know what I mean? And it’s like, you know, never say never, you know, I can’t predict the future. So I mean, it’s ‘Black Panther 2’. The two, I just figured two would be like, two sounds okay, I guess… All I know is that they’re developing a script that, you know, is a reflection of a lot of circumstances and tragedy that we had to deal with this past year.”

Jordan’s turn as Killmonger in Black Panther was met with high praise from critics and fans alike. In the film, his character challenged T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) for the throne and even tried to kill our hero. The two engaged in a lengthy third-act fight that ultimately saw T’Challa killing Killmonger. You would think fans would view this as the end of the character but Marvel has a track record of bringing characters back to life (looking at you Loki) and I think that’s why many are wondering if Killmonger could possibly return.

That being said, Jordan’s answer is still a bit all over the place as he says he’s giving the “2” answer because it’s Black Panther 2. He seems to be playing coy on the same level he has been playing coy about the Superman rumors. Perhaps all of these guys at Marvel are trained to not give definitive answers because they want to keep some mystery alive. Jordan is very close with director Ryan Coogler so if something was to happen regarding a return, I’m sure these two could make it happen but also keep it a very big secret.

Not much is known about Black Panther 2 in terms of plot, especially as they deal with the difficult task of moving forward without Chadwick Boseman after he lost his battle with cancer last year. What has been revealed is that Tenoch Huerta will be playing a villain role in the film but Marvel has not confirmed what villain Huerta will be playing

Do YOU think Michael B. Jordan should return as Killmonger or should Marvel focus on a new villain in Black Panther 2?

Without Remorse: What Did You Think?
May 1, 2021 by: Chris Bumbray

Well, it took decades but Tom Clancy’s WITHOUT REMORSE has finally been turned into a movie. While initially set for a theatrical release via Paramount Pictures, the film ended up being sold to Amazon Studios after numerous COVID-19 releated delays. The hope is that Amazon will be able to paylay their success with the Jack Ryan TV Series into a slew of films starring Michael B. Jordan as John Clark, with the presumptive sequel being Rainbow Six.

We were mixed on Without Remorse. While Jordan’s performance is terrific (as always – the guy is a legit star) the movie itself felt a little too low key to really kickoff a franchise. The action was mediocre, save for the great prison cell brawl that’s being teased in all of the trailers. It was good enough to muster a 6/10, but Jordan deserves better, and if they make sequels hopefully  they’ll get more ressources pumped into them.

But enough of what we thought – what did YOU think. Talk back below with your thoughts on Without Remorse. Are you psyched for Rainbow Six?

Without Remorse Review

PLOT: A Navy SEAL (Michael B. Jordan) seeks revenge after his pregnant wife is killed during a hit gone awry. He discovers it all relates to a plot to reignite the Cold War with Russia, sending him on the warpath.

REVIEW: After years and years of being in development hell, Tom Clancy’s WITHOUT REMORSE finally has become a movie, albeit one that’s so far removed from the source material, one wonders why they tied it to Clancy at all. In it, Michael B. Jordan plays the character who becomes John Clark, arguably Clancy’s second most popular protagonist outside of Jack Ryan. Clark was previously brought to life by Willem Dafoe in Clear and Present Danger opposite Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan. Then there was Liev Schreiber as a younger John Clark, with Ben Affleck as Ryan in his only take on the character in The Sum of All Fears.

Many stars have been attached to play John Clark over the years, with Keanu Reeves and one-time Superman Brandon Routh among them. If Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit had been a hit, we likely would have gotten Without Remorse as a spin-off with Kevin Costner reprising his role from that film, and Tom Hardy as Clark. Christopher McQuarrie had been attached to direct. Yet, it didn’t happen as Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit was a flop with both critics and audiences, and Jack Ryan took a turn to the smaller screen with John Krasinski playing him on the current Amazon TV series. Ironically, Amazon is now distributing Without Remorse.  It was produced by Paramount Pictures as a theatrical release, with the intention to start a franchise. Rainbow Six would be the sequel.

So how does the film fair? Without Remorse is a decent enough thriller, with a fine performance by Jordan in the lead, but I can’t help but be disappointed. For one thing, this doesn’t feel very much like anything related to Tom Clancy. It’s a low-key action thriller, very similar to Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, in that both seem modestly budgeted and low-wattage for would-be franchise starters. What keeps Without Remorse being as big of a disappointment is Jordan.

Obviously a star, Jordan has the megawatt charisma to keep you watching and engaged, even if you wish he’d had more Clancy-esque material to work with, had they kept Clark as more of an anti-hero. Jordan’s Clark is a true-blue hero, a decorated SEAL who – shades of Commando – finds his team is being knocked off after an extraction mission. When the hit squad comes to kill him, they miss but kill his pregnant wife, leading him to uncover a plot that seems poised to ignite another Cold War with Russia. He’s alternately helped and hindered by two government agents, one being Jamie Bell’s weasel CIA agent, Ritter, the other being Guy Pearce’s Secretary of Defense, Clay. He’s also aided by his SEAL unit commander, played by Jodie Turner-Smith.

So where does the film go wrong? Everywhere but Jordan to be honest. Director Stefano Solima did a great job with Sicario: Day of the Soldado but doesn’t seem up to making a big action movie. What’s doubly disappointing is that Taylor Sheridan had a hand in the script, but it certainly doesn’t feel up to his standards. The casting is so-so, with Pearce not having much to do, while Bell seems too boyish for his part as a high-ranking CIA agent. The one who sticks out is Jodie Turner-Smith of Queen and Slim as Clark’s commanding officer. Striking and a good actress to boot, she still doesn’t seem credible as a SEAL.  It’s simply a case of miscasting although her character is meant to recur, with her playing the daughter of James Greer – the character played by James Earl Jones in the films, while Wendell Pierce plays him on the Amazon show. I wonder if this is meant to take place in the same world?

The action is curiously low-wattage despite Jordan’s physicality. It’s frustrating. The gunfights are generic and one scene where he sets a car on fire and then climbs into it strains credibility. This is upsetting because there’s a brief hand-to-hand sequence in a jail cell that’s killer, utilizing Jordan’s physicality and intensity in a way that makes you wish a different, or more experienced creative team in terms of action movies had been involved.

There are a few bright spots though. Jordan is great – he can’t help but be good, as is Brett Gellman in a cast-against type turn as a baddie. The movie also has a good musical score by Sigur Ros’ Jonsi. In the end, Without Remorse will likely disappoint Clancy fans in a major way, but perhaps younger audiences that don’t care about the books won’t care. It hits Amazon Prime this Friday and that’s a good platform for a movie like this. Had this been a theatrical release it probably would merit a 5/10 but given that it’ll be streaming free to subscribers, I’d say this just about ekes out a 6/10. While I’m mixed it, I do hope Jordan gets the chance to do Rainbow Six, I just hope for the next one they pump some big bucks into it and give Jordan the A-quality star vehicle he deserves.

Superman: Michael B. Jordan responds to rumors he’ll play the Man of Steel
April 28, 2021 by: Gaius Bolling

Michael B. Jordan is addressing the rumors that he’ll be playing Superman in the previously announced DC movie reboot. The new project, produced by J.J. Abrams, was announced back in February, and writer Ta-Nehisi Coates is penning the script. While casting has yet to be done for the film, Jordan’s name has been thrown around a lot to take on the iconic role and the actor took a little time to talk about the matter.

Jordan was speaking to Jake’s Takes when he was asked if he could be playing Superman. Jordan mentions being flattered that his name is in consideration for the role but he mostly played coy and said he didn’t know anything beyond the rumors that we all have been hearing:

“You hear the whispers and the rumors and stuff like that and it’s just a compliment. You know, I appreciate people that think about me in that type of way for these roles. I don’t really have anything more to give on that other than it’s just flattering and I appreciate it. But, you know, whoever they get or if it goes that way, I think it’ll be an interesting thing to see.”

Jordan gave a similar answer when speaking with “Cinepop.” The actor doubled down on the fact that he was not aware of what is happening with the reboot but he’d be excited to see a Black Superman on the big screen:

“I don’t know. I don’t really know what is going with that in particular, but I think everybody’s want and desire to see Black leads in heroic roles I think is really, really important. Representation is important.”

The rumors about Michael B. Jordan being considered for Superman aren’t exactly farfetched. Back in 2019, it was revealed that Warner Bros. actually met with Jordan at one point about the role and the actor even pitched an idea for a new film. The report originally came from “Variety” and, at the time, it was hinted that Jordan may have been too busy on other projects to fully commit to the role. It’s possible that a lot has changed since then and Jordan has been a part of the conversation but that would only be speculation at this point. The way that Jordan is responding to the rumor now without outright debunking it, makes me think that he could possibly have a shot and talks are still open.

As much as I like Michael B. Jordan as an actor, I still wish there was a chance for Henry Cavill to stay on as Superman. I think he has been solid since his debut in MAN OF STEEL but he has just been saddled in mediocre films featuring the character. Cavill has a lot of support from the fans to continue on as the Man of Steel but it seems like Warner Bros. is looking to the future and a new direction. Only time will tell.

Do YOU think Michael B. Jordan would be a good Superman?

Creed star Michael B. Jordan on why Stallone won’t be back for part 3
April 11, 2021 by: Mike Catalano

The Creed and CREED II saga accomplished one heavyweight feat. First, it spun off an almost impossible character from a beloved film series and made it just as amazing as the original without feeling like a rip off. Then, it did the same thing with the sequel! Major props to Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler for handling the Creed series with great respect and heart. Hence, I was more than pleased to learn that Mr. Jordan would be tackling the character of Adonis Creed a third time and even opting to direct this one! However, we also soon learned that Sylvester Stallone would not be reprising his role as Rocky for round 3. During a recent interview for his upcoming Without Remorse, Jordan shed some light on why the Italian Stallion wouldn’t be coming back:

“Yeah, I think that Sly let it be known that he wasn’t coming back for this one but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there’s always going to be a little bit of Rocky within Adonis. But this is a Creed franchise, and we really want to build this story and this world around him moving forward. So, it’s always respect and always a shit-ton of love for what he’s built, but we really want to push and navigate Adonis forward and the family that he created. So, hopefully you guys will love what I’m thinking… what we’re cooking up. I think it’s going to be something special.”

After his work in Creed I and II, I have all the faith in the world in Michael B. Jordan. Plus, I have a feeling that the “essence and spirit” of Rocky will keep even the most diehard of fans satisfied. How do you guys feel about this? Are you ready for Creed to get back in the ring albeit without Rocky in his corner? Let us know in the comments below! Creed III is set to open on November 23, 2022.

Naomi Watts to star in Goodnight Mommy remake for Amazon
April 6, 2021 by: Kevin Fraser

Variety has reported that Naomi Watts has signed on to star in an English-language remake of Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz's psychological thriller Goodnight Mommy for Amazon Studios.

RELATED: Those Who Wish Me Dead: Angelina Jolie is an elite firefighter in first look

Goodnight Mommy follows twin brothers who are sent to stay with their mother and are surprised to find her covered in bandages from the recent procedure. "As her behavior grows increasingly erratic and unusual, the twins become convinced she is an imposter," reads Variety's synopsis. "Their suspicion sets off a roller-coaster of emotional mind games and misunderstandings between mother and her children, that eventually explodes with irreparable and heartbreaking consequences." In addition to starring in the remake, Naomi Watts will also executive produce the project which will be directed by Matt Sobel based on a script by Kyle Warren. Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz are also onboard as executive producers. In a statement, Matt Sobel said:

My favorite films are those that invite the audience to step inside their protagonist’s journey. In our re-imagining of Goodnight Mommy, fear of abandonment — and the dreadful realization that those close to us may not be who they seem — create an immersive nightmare, with visceral sensations front and center. I can’t wait to create this heart-stopping story with Amazon and the peerless Naomi Watts.

Beyond the basic premise, I'm not all that familiar with Goodnight Mommy, so I'll leave it up to you fine folks to decide whether the remake is warranted. Naomi Watts was recently seen starring alongside Frank Grillo and Mel Gibson in Joe Carnahan's Boss Level, and you can check out a review of the film from our own Chris Bumbray right here.

Creed 3: Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky sitting this round out?
April 5, 2021 by: Chris Bumbray

When it was announced that Michael B. Jordan would be directing and starring in the long-awaited CREED III a few weeks ago, many fans wondered whether Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa would be returning to the franchise. After all, during the production of Creed II, Stallone did famously post a video on Instagram publicly retiring from the role and passing the torch to Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed, but many thought he could eventually change his mind. Alas, Sly confirmed to a fan via a response on his Instagram page a few days ago that he would indeed not be returning. Thanks to our reader Michael T. Scott for pointing out this easy to miss comment.

While it’s a shame The Italian Stallion’s not going to be a part of Creed III, I can’t help but be excited for the further adventures of Adonis Creed. What’s interesting is that Jordan seems to be following in Sly’s footsteps to some degree.  Stallone famously directed many installments of the Rocky saga himself. And of course, just because Sly’s sitting this round out doesn’t mean he’s done with the franchise or the character. In 2019, Stallone told THR he had an idea for a new installment where Rocky trains an undocumented immigrant, plus just last week, he posted a treatment for a proposed Rocky prequel TV series.

So what do you think — are you still psyched for Creed III even without Stallone? And do you think he might come back in a future Creed movie?

Without Remorse trailer: Michael B. Jordan first-look is high on action
March 3, 2021 by: Gaius Bolling

The first trailer for Tom Clancy’s WITHOUT REMORSE has arrived and the first-look teases the film’s franchise potential with Michael B. Jordan taking the lead.

Without Remorse hits Amazon Prime Video on April 30, 2021, in over 240 countries and territories and will see Jordan starring as former Navy SEAL John Clarke. The character was created by Clancy when he was writing the Jack Ryan books and Jordan is hoping that Without Remorse launches a feature franchise for the John Clarke character. You can read the film’s official synopsis below

“An elite Navy SEAL uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife in Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, the explosive origin story of action hero John Clark – one of the most popular characters in author Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan universe. When a squad of Russian soldiers kills his family in retaliation for his role in a top-secret op, Sr. Chief John Kelly (Michael B. Jordan) pursues the assassins at all costs. Joining forces with a fellow SEAL (Jodie Turner-Smith) and a shadowy CIA agent (Jamie Bell), Kelly’s mission unwittingly exposes a covert plot that threatens to engulf the U.S. and Russia in an all-out war. Torn between personal honor and loyalty to his country, Kelly must fight his enemies without remorse if he hopes to avert disaster and reveal the powerful figures behind the conspiracy.”

Directed by Stefano Sollima and based on the 1993 Tom Clancy novel of the same name, the film also stars Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Luke Mitchell, Jack Kesy, Brett Gelman, Colman Domingo, and Guy Pearce. Without Remorse was originally set to be released theatrically by Paramount Pictures but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon Studios acquired the rights to release the film on its streaming platform.

There could definitely be some franchise and even crossover potential for this project, especially after landing at Amazon. The Jack Ryan series starring John Krasinski is also housed on Amazon Prime Video so I wouldn’t be surprised if some kind of shared universe with the show or with the film were in the cards.

Did YOU like the trailer for Without Remorse? The film hits Amazon Prime Video on April 30, 2021.

Michael B. Jordan pens emotional tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Michael B. Jordan pens emotional tribute to Chadwick Boseman
September 1, 2020 by: Gaius Bolling

Sometimes bonds aren’t forged through one interaction. Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan co-starred in BLACK PANTHER together but in a very emotional tribute to the late actor that passed after a four year battle with colon cancer, Jordan makes it clear that their relationship has been aligned for some time now and now all Jordan wishes is that he had more time.

The two actors knew each other long before they shared the screen together. In a 2018 Howard University commencement speech, Boseman said he turned down a role on All My Children early in his career because of the stereotypical depiction of the character. Coincidentally, Jordan ended up being recast in the role when he was 16. It’s in Boseman’s refusal to take that role and his reasoning behind it that began Jordan’s admiration for the actor.  “You showed me how to be better, honor purpose, and create legacy. And whether you’ve known it or not…I’ve been watching, learning and constantly motivated by your greatness,” Jordan wrote in his tribute posted to Instagram on Monday night. The post really speaks for itself and it’s an emotional tribute by someone trying to find the right words to honor a friend. You can check out the full Instagram post below:

I’ve been trying to find the words, but nothing comes close to how I feel. I’ve been reflecting on every moment, every conversation, every laugh, every disagreement, every hug…everything. I wish we had more time. One of the last times we spoke, you said we were forever linked , and now the truth of that means more to me than ever. Since nearly the beginning of my career, starting with All My Children when I was 16 years old you paved the way for me. You showed me how to be better, honor purpose, and create legacy. And whether you’ve known it or not…I’ve been watching, learning and constantly motivated by your greatness. I wish we had more time. Everything you’ve given the world … the legends and heroes that you’ve shown us we are … will live on forever. But the thing that hurts the most is that I now understand how much of a legend and hero YOU are. Through it all, you never lost sight of what you loved most. You cared about your family , your friends, your craft, your spirit. You cared about the kids, the community, our culture and humanity. You cared about me. You are my big brother, but I never fully got a chance to tell you, or to truly give you your flowers while you were here. I wish we had more time. I’m more aware now than ever that time is short with people we love and admire. I’m gonna miss your honesty, your generosity, your sense of humor, and incredible gifts. I’ll miss the gift of sharing space with you in scenes. I’m dedicating the rest of my days to live the way you did. With grace, courage, and no regrets. “Is this your king!?” Yes . he . is! Rest In Power Brother.

A post shared by Michael B. Jordan (@michaelbjordan) on Aug 31, 2020 at 4:47pm PDT

,

Each tribute that comes in for Chadwick Boseman it just becomes more clear how many people he touched and just how inspiring he was. 43 is so very young to leave this Earth but Chadwick Boseman chose LIVE! Some say he suffered in silence but the people that needed to know knew what he was dealing with. Instead of letting it beat him into submission, he spent the last four years of his life, accomplishing major milestones knowing that his time here could be limited. If you needed an example to strive for greatness and live your best life, this is it. There is always time to leave your mark, even if you know you’re living on borrowed time.

Top Gun: Maverick & A Quiet Place 2 moving to 2021

Top Gun: Maverick & A Quiet Place 2 moving to 2021
July 23, 2020 by: Chris Bumbray

The release date shuffle continues with Deadline revealing that Paramount is opting to move both A QUIET PLACE 2 and TOP GUN: MAVERICK off their schedule for the year and into 2021. As of now, A QUIET PLACE 2 is set to bow April 23rd, 2021, while TOP GUN: MAVERICK has been pushed to next summer, with the highly anticipated sequel now slated for July 2nd, 2021.

While there’s something sweet about a Tom Cruise TOP GUN movie coming out on the fourth of July holiday weekend, this is still a pretty harsh pill for fans to swallow as the film had originally been pushed from summer of 2019 to the summer of 2020, then to Christmas of 2020, and now finally to the summer of 2021. Still, it’s understandable considering what a flux the movie business is in right now.

Earlier this evening, it was also announced that their highly anticipated Tom Clancy adaptation, WITHOUT REMORSE, starring Michael B. Jordan was likely going to find a new home on Amazon Prime. Given how popular the first A QUIET PLACE was, and the fact that TOP GUN: MAVERICK was shot with 5K IMAX cameras, streaming dates for these two tentpoles seemed unlikely. Suffice to say, with movie release dates very uncertain for the rest of the year, they had to stake their claim early. Too bad.

Danny Boyle to direct Methuselah with Michael B. Jordan to star

Danny Boyle to direct Methuselah with Michael B. Jordan to star
May 15, 2020 by: Steve Seigh

We’re about to serve this lazy Friday some wake up juice with news that Danny Boyle and Michael B. Jordan are joining forces for a feature film of potentially Biblical proportions titled METHUSELAH.

Boyle will direct with Jordan in line to star. Simon Beaufoy, who worked alongside Boyle for the director’s SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and 127 HOURS is being considered to rewrite the script. Originally, the concept for the film focused on the Biblical story of a man who lived to be 969 years old. However, sources close the project are saying that story priorities have changed, and that a new take on the plot is now under construction.

For a time, Warner Bros. had wanted Tom Cruise to star in the film, seeing the project as a high priority with franchise potential. That said, the studio has been thrilled with Jordan’s bankability with regard to the CREED franchise, and are now looking to move him to the front of Boyle’s latest endeavor.

RELATED: Review: Yesterday

In addition to playing the lead role, Jordan will also produce with Outlier Society head of production Alana Mayo, as well as Boyle and Heygey’s David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford. Tony Gilroy wrote the previous draft of the screenplay, which was based on a treatment penned by James Watkins.

Jordan’s is one of the hottest tickets in town these days, after delivering rock-solid performances in films like CREED, Marvel’s BLACK PANTHER, and director Destin Daniel Cretton’s biographical drama JUST MERCY. In recent times, Jordan completed work on Stefano Sollima‘s WITHOUT REMORSE, a film that revolves around John Clark, a Navy Seal who goes on a path to avenge his wife’s murder only to find himself inside of a larger conspiracy. Jordan will star as John Clark for the project, and will be joined by stars Cam Gigandet and Jamie Bell, among others.

We’ll be sure to keep you up to date concerning METHUSELAH, as any time that Boyle announces a project, it’s worth taking note and then some.

Vic Mensa – Rage Lyrics

(Intro)
Command, we’ve lost control
The engine’s bound to crash
The lightning strikes went bright
Do not go gently
It’s just my luck
You shot my bluff down from a thousand miles
I’m falling fast
I’m falling fast

(Chorus)
I want you to rage into the night
I want you to blaze into the light
Before your final flight
But boy, you’re fine, you’re fine
I want you to rage into the night
I want you to know, know you’re right
Before your final flight
Racing, racing, red eyes are burning rogue

(Verse 1)
I always wondered whether leaving meant something deeper than freedom
To be able to see everything I see when I’m sleeping
Ni**as waking up with no job, no mob lynching, we still hanging
White man telling ni**as to ball like Phil Jackson
Pray to Jordan, the play was enough to put up the bail
And a train don’t stop
And we ain’t have to ride the rails
Gas in the tank, hardly enough to make it home
They say home is where the hate is
I’m from where they kill their own
Probably film it on their phone, a generation addicted
To take knowledge and problems we face, and so conflicted
To take the burning road and just roll with the punches
Ni**as thought I was gone, I Derrick Rose from the trenches
Same fences we jumped as a shawty still in the way
Sometimes I wish I could fly far, far away
Where my sins fall down like pouring rain
I’m on slip my knot, hope I don’t fall again
Standing on my feet, I feel so small to look into space
It’s heavy just to stare up there and wonder what waits
So much we still don’t understand, still right in front of our face
I light a match, for the jets

(Chorus)
I want you to rage into the night
I want you to blaze into the light
Before your final flight
Before your final flight
But boy, you’re fine, you’re fine
I want you to rage into the night
I want you to know, know you’re right
Before your final flight
Before your final flight
Racing, racing, red eyes are burning rogue

(Bridge)
Riding a burning road
Running low, not a soul who could know
It’s every man who swept the burning ashes from the road

(Verse 2)
I put the halloween pistol out the trunk
Inside my mouth, if it was real, but I would dunk
That’s f**king done
How many thousand of kids would like to have mine?
Without a clue of the times I gave my life to have time
I’m tired of waiting
Tired of chasing pills that I’m tired of taking
Tired of court cases, tired of judges
Tired of saying f**k it
Tired of balling around the president, deciding this s**ts a gift
Two shots to life, only got one to live
You could lose it any night
Or down it in a fit
Or win a championship game
As a man I feel pain
As a king, I feel reign
Ask me how I deal with fame
As I write you from my basement
The cards ain’t changed yet
Ni**as on 47 still dealing the same shit
Rocks, blows, ducking cops and clothes
Came into the world naked, now I’m in all this BAPE shit
Tryna buy a Rolex, can’t even face time
I feel like it’s all wasted
The underground getting wasted
I spent 1500 on these bottles and this table
I shake it before I pop, I promise I’m not stable
But that boy do got horse power, ignore hours
These days I lose tracks of days, been years since I felt this way
Count on me to rage

(Outro)
Before the final flight
Before the final flight
I want you to rage
I want you to know, know you’re right

Fifth Harmony – Down (feat. Gucci Mane)

[Intro: Gucci Mane]
It’s Gucci
Fifth Harmony

[Verse 1: Lauren]
I need somebody with some patience
‘Cause you know I got a temperament
And yeah, you got a reputation
Nothin’ that a little love can’t fix
There ain’t no kind of situation
Where I wouldn’t cross a line for you
FBI interrogation
I would get up there and lie for you

[Pre-Chorus: Dinah]
When push come to shove
You show me love
When push come to shove, aye

[Chorus: Lauren + Normani]
Long as you’re holding me down, down, down
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down
Long as you’re holding me down, down, down
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you

[Verse 2: Normani]
You the type that I could bake for (bake for)
‘Cause baby, you know how to take that cake
And I’m the only one you wait for
‘Cause baby, you know that I’m worth the wait

[Pre-Chorus: Ally & (Lauren)]
When push come to shove
You show me love (you show me love)
When push come to shove, aye

[Chorus: Lauren + Normani]

I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down
Long as you’re holding me down, down, down
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you

[Verse 3: Gucci Mane]
It’s like Bonnie and Clyde just walked in
A gangster and his bride just walked in
We on the same team and we ballin’
Got me showin’ off my ring like I’m Jordan
And I’ma hold you down like you hold me
And I’ll never tell a soul what you told me
When I was sittin’ in the cells is when you showed me
It takes a real one to put up with the old me
That’s why you in the coupe with the low seat
That’s why we at the game on the floor seats
My diamond that they seein’ from the nosebleeds
You make ’em mad, feel like you won a trophy

[Chorus: Lauren + Normani & Lauren & {Normani} & Dinah]
Long as you’re holding me down, down, down
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down
Long as you’re holding me down, down, down
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down (love you down)
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down
Long as you’re holding me down, down, down
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down {down, down, down, down}
Long as you’re holding me down, down, down (I’m gon’ love you down)
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you down, down, down (long as you’re lovin’ me, boy)
I’m gon’ keep lovin’ you

Binary Star – Shogun (Waterworld 3 Album)

It’s so real
So ill
Swallow a pill
Gargle and spill
Oil
Automobile
Control the wheel
Burn Rubber appeal
Never let the motor chill
Seen more faces than Poker deals

Tank tops, bare arms
where the soldiers kill
Pythons
with Hogan appeal
Holdin’ the steel
Blazin’ guns

Raisin in the Sun
Hot as oat meal

I Write poems for thrill
They bite like a Doberman’s grill
Fade you like the Barber of a Seville
Maybe it’s over ya head
Maybe you over the hill
like O’Neal
It don’t take a Kobe to squeal

Or the Coffee holdin’ the milk
But not the Cream
get the money
dolla dolla bill
Fill the envelope
Nope
broken the seal

You’ coming up stiletto
We ballin’ like Wilt strollin’ on stilts
Fully built,
You think like the Wolf blowin’ at pigs
You’ too soft,
It feel like the wind blowing at silk

The rain blowing
the brainstorming
The lightening bolt on the hill
Verse electrifying eel
Power for a drill
In the flesh
Like the fangs Cobras reveal
Throw the staff like Moses will

Speaking of the spoken,
God-chosen
I throw’em a deal
Everybody know that it’s real/Isreal

Politics
Palestine
time to go for your shield
The only hope for Khalil
Muhammad spoke to Ji’bril
It’s less snow on the window sill
The more colder it feel

Devoted to explode it at will
Fuck ball, got bigger Jordan’s to fill
You Jack while I’m bonin’ my Jill
It’s the Bad Boy Daily
Coach of the Year
The moment you fear
Feel
Still
yeah

Ni un 6, demonio perdi mis 7 vidas y aun no te conozco,
Mas chulo que un 8, rozando el 9, aspirando al 10.(24)

Termanology – We’re Both Wrong (feat. Saigon)

[Verse 1: Saigon]
How could we have respect for you?
Look what we subjected to
Supposed to serve and protect
You acting all unprofessional
Restraining a man is not grabbing him by his testicles
Sucker getting a gun and a badge and get disrespectful
I’ll tell you why this shit is so stressful
’cause we been going through it since we came to America
On a vessel
Pick up a social studies book every time that they mention us
They was even enslaving us, trading us or was lynching us
So what’s the big difference?
Whether it’s a rope or a scope, the objective is to go out and hit niggas
Speaking this from the heart
I been doing the knowledge
We’re seeing that slavery was never truly abolished
They making uzis with dollars they can use for the colleges
What is this?
This is the movement of tricknologists
The only thing we’re doing wrong is not fighting back
You ain’t got the light to rap but you know what’s right and exact, jack

[Hook: Saigon]
How the hell am I wrong?
When your people been doing my people wrong for so long
Now all we got is the hope and the focus to hold on
Y’all been killing us for so long, it can’t go on
How we both wrong?

[Verse 2: Termanology]
If they shoot at us, they probably get awarded
If we shoot at them, they popping us when they spot us
It’s harder to live life, more conscious and like marauders
And focus on the problem of who could fix it in office
Then picking up a bottle, a bitch, and a couple garcia’s
And heading to the crib, to kick it and get some knowledge
Do we want knowledge? And bread for our toddlers?
Saved in accounts or more belts and wallets
And me I’m part of the problem, purchasing gucci products
Before, I put away that money for my daughters collage
And still a great father but times are getting harder
No money for private school, I guess should go harder
Tryna lock in in stability, cuz of my family history
All of them died broke, so I’m tryna be the remedy
Our ghetto kids never inherit no stocks and bonds
That’s something to think about
When you putting them Jordan’s on

[Hook: Saigon & Termanology]
How the hell am I wrong?
When your people been doing my people wrong for so long
Now all we got is the hope and the focus to hold on
Y’all been killing us for so long, it can’t go on
How we both wrong?, damn

Kanye West – Feedback (Dorian_Ye Version) Lyrics

[Intro]
I’ve been outta my mind a long time
I’ve been outta my mind a long time

[Hook]
Ayy, y’all heard about the good news?
Y’all sleeping on me, huh? Had a good snooze?
Wake up, nigga, wake up
We bout to get this paper

[Verse 1]
Money never made me
Make me do something? Nah, can’t make me
Even if the money low, can’t pay me
Even if the money low, can’t play me

[Hook]
Ayy, y’all heard about the good news?
Y’all sleeping on me, huh? Had a good snooze?
Wake up, nigga, wake up
We bout to get this paper

[Verse 2]
Pablo bought a Roley and a rottweiler
Seem like the more fame, I only got wilder
Hands up, we just doing what the cops taught us
Hands up, we just doing what the cops taught us
I’ve been outta my mind a long time
I’ve been outta my mind a long time
I’ve been saying how I feel at the wrong time
Might not come when you want but I’m on time

[Hook]
Ayy, y’all heard about the good news?
Y’all sleeping on me, huh? Had a good snooze?
Wake up, nigga, wake up
We ’bout to get this paper

[Verse 3]
I can’t let these people play me
Name one genius that ain’t crazy
Follow our father
You borrow our motto
I’m a Chicago south sider
I’m a Chicago south sider

[Hook]
Ayy, y’all heard about the good news?
Y’all sleeping on your boy, had a good snooze?
Wake up, nigga, wake up
It’s time to get the paper

[Verse 4]
I’ve been outta my mind a long time
I’ve been outta my mind a long time
I know, I know, I shouldn’t even bother
With all these gossiping, no-pussy-getting bloggers
Fashion show in Gotham, I need another costume
PETA’s mad cause I made a jacket outta possum
Awesome, Steve Jobs mixed with Steve Austin
Rich slave in the fabric store picking cotton
If Hov J then every Jordan need a Rodman
Man, Jay, they don’t really want no problems
Driving in the same car that they killed Pac in
Driving in the same urrr that they killed Pac in
Hands up, we just doing what the cops taught us
Hands up, hands up, then the cops shot us

[Outro]
Hold on, hold on, hold on
Wait a second, everybody here, I’m the ghetto Oprah
You know what that mean? You get a fur! You get a fur!
You get a jet! You get a jet! Big booty bitch for you! Woo!

Mila J – Move (Dopamine Album)

[Hook]

Trey Songz – Priceless (Tremaine The Album Album)

[Chorus]
Girl, your love is priceless
One thing I can’t afford to lose
And even though I ball, I would trade it all
To keep you in my arms, baby
‘Cause, girl, your love is priceless
Flying in all the jets I flew, yeah
And even though I ball, I would trade it all
To keep you in my arms, baby

[Verse 1]
I got more gold chains than these dope dealers (I look like I’m whippin’)
And I can’t relate to these broke niggas (I don’t understand)
I pull out my driveway, only 12 cylinders (skrrt, skrrt)
Thank God it’s a new day and I’m still killing ’em (uh)

[Pre-Chorus]
But none of it don’t matter, baby, no
If you ain’t waiting there when I get home
‘Cause I can’t spend this money on my own
I need my queen to take her throne

[Chorus]
‘Cause, girl, your love is priceless
One thing I can’t afford to lose
And even though I ball, I would trade it all
To keep you in my arms, baby
‘Cause, girl, your love is priceless
Flying in all the jets I flew, yeah
And even though I ball, I would trade it all
To keep you in my arms, baby

[Verse 2]
Been around the world, seen a lot of women (I did ’em all)
That’s how I know you one in 100 million (girl, you the one)
Everything that I wanted (I wanted), if I see it, I bought it (I bought it)
Parties jumping like Jordan right now (jumpin’, jumpin’, jumpin’)

[Pre-Chorus]
But none of it don’t matter, baby, no
If you ain’t waiting there when I get home
‘Cause I can’t spend this money on my own
I need my queen to take her throne

[Chorus]
‘Cause, girl, your love is priceless
One thing I can’t afford to lose
And even though I ball, I would trade it all
To keep you in my arms, baby
‘Cause, girl, your love is priceless (love is priceless)
Flying in all the jets I flew (I flew), yeah
And even though I ball, I would trade it all
To keep you in my arms, baby

[Bridge]
I trade in the Wraith and buy you diamond rings (diamond rings)
Baby girl ’cause I know you like shiny things (shiny things)
Whatever you want, oh, you can have that (have that)
Pull up in the mall, baby, grab that (grab that)
These girls, they ain’t got nothing on you at all (nothing, baby)
‘Cause your love is too priceless, don’t care what it cost, no no
‘Cause money, it don’t mean a thing, you know I got enough of it
What I’m tryna say is you can get it, anything you want from me
My baby, you worth all of that and more

[Chorus]
‘Cause, girl, your love is priceless
One thing I can’t afford to lose
And even though I ball, I would trade it all
To keep you in my arms, baby
‘Cause, girl, your love is priceless (love is priceless)
Flying in all the jets I flew (I flew), yeah
And even though I ball, I would trade it all
To keep you in my arms, baby

Nav – Take Me Simple (The Introduction Album)

[Pre-Hook]
Driving down the 401 and I’m speeding
Basic bitches asking me what a bean is
Put her number in my phone and delete it
Put her number in my phone and delete it
My killers gorillas they roll with bananas
30 on waist, they won’t run out of ammo
Ain’t to much shit that my niggas can’t handle
Ain’t to much shit that my niggas can’t handle

[Hook]
If you take me simple, I swear you won’t take simple again
If you take me simple, I swear you won’t take simple again
Catch me in the 6 with my day ones
We don’t need no new friends
(If you take me simple, I swear you won’t take simple again no)

[Verse 1]
These youngins just said he needs laces for his Jordan 9s he ain’t talking bout shoes
My killas they ballin, but they don’t crossover, they stand on the corner and shoot
35 points, 10 assists
Went from passing a rock to a brick
I know Brazilians that hitting licks
I know some niggas that I fucked they bitch
I know some people who said they wouldn’t switch, but they switch
I know some people who said they wouldn’t snitch, but they snitch
But it’s hard to see when there’s a snitch in a nigga
But I can always tell a bitch in a nigga
I’m on the road to the riches lil nigga
I never get caught up on bitches lil nigga
